Integration Architect (Workday HCM)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, construction, deployment, and operational readiness of Workday HCM integrations with external systems. Serve as the technical expert throughout the integration lifecycle, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
**Expactations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end integration architecture that meets functional and security requirements.
- Produce detailed technical specifications and mapping documents.
- Oversee deployment, validation, and post‑deployment support with clear operational runbooks.
- Maintain high reliability through monitoring, error handling, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with system owners, developers, and business stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design scalable, secure integration frameworks using Workday Studio, EIB, Connectors, Cloud Connectors, and Web Services.
- Create technical integration specifications and data mapping documents aligned with business requirements.
- Develop, configure, and unit‑test integrations in Workday, including Studio packages and custom transformations.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, analyze logs, and remediate errors in collaboration with system owners.
- Establish monitoring, retry logic, error handling, and operational runbooks.
- Deploy integrations to tenant environments, conduct post‑deployment validation, and support SIT/UT phases.
- Ensure data security, encryption, and compliance with PII and payroll regulations.
- Document integration designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
**Required Skills**
- Deep expertise in Workday HCM integration – Studio, EIB, Connectors, Cloud Connectors, and Web Services.
- Strong knowledge of data mapping, transformation, and enterprise integration best practices.
- Proven troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex integration scenarios.
- Experience defining monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks.
- Understanding of data security, encryption, and compliance (PII, payroll).
- Excellent documentation and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Workday integration certification (or equivalent senior-level experience) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and implementing Workday HCM integrations.
