**Job Title**
EDP Training & Enablement Specialist
**Role Summary**
Design, deliver, and continuously improve technical training for an Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). Facilitate workshops, laboratories, and one‑on‑one support for analysts, biostatisticians, and program teams to master Databricks, SQL, and data science tools. Collaborate with product, governance, and engineering units to keep training content aligned with evolving platform capabilities.
**Expectations**
- Conduct instructor‑led and hands‑on sessions on EDP fundamentals and analytic workflows.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable instructional materials.
- Deliver training both onsite and remotely, supporting participants during lab activities.
- Use evaluation data to refine content, pacing, and delivery methods.
- Drive training strategy, roadmap, and adoption initiatives across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver lecture, demo, and lab modules covering Databricks Unity Catalog, notebooks, dashboards, SQL querying, and data ingestion into R/Python dataframes.
- Create educational assets: slide decks, lab notebooks, exercises, tip sheets, quick‑start guides.
- Provide over‑the‑shoulder, hands‑on support during lab sessions to enable practical learning.
- Analyze training evaluations, identify improvement opportunities, and share feedback with instructors.
- Coordinate with EDP Product, Governance, and Data Engineering teams to ensure alignment of training content with platform updates and standards.
- Assess training needs as new programs adopt the EDP and design curriculum to address gaps.
- Develop and manage the training program’s strategy, roadmap, and expansion plans.
- Assist Data Engineering and Product Management units with data analysis and QA testing as required.
- Provide onsite support at least two days per week to facilitate in‑person learning.
**Required Skills**
- 3+ years as a Data Analyst, Biostatistician, or comparable data‑centric role.
- Strong SQL proficiency.
- Working knowledge of at least two of: Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and visualization.
- Experience with analytics platforms: RStudio, Jupyter notebooks, Databricks, Spark, or similar.
- Ability to convert technical workflows into accessible training materials for mixed‑experience audiences.
- Excellent facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
**Desired Skills**
- Public Health or Social Science background.
- State or Government sector experience.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field.
- Professional certifications in SQL, Python, R, or Databricks are considered a plus.
