Job title: Business Intelligence Engineer II
Role Summary:
Engineer scalable BI solutions for fulfillment operations, leveraging data modeling, ETL, and advanced analytics to provide actionable insights and automated KPI reporting.
Expectations:
- Deliver self‑service dashboards and automated reporting that drive operational efficiency and strategic decision‑making.
- Collaborate across engineering and business teams to translate requirements into end‑to‑end BI solutions.
- Own end‑to‑end data pipelines from extraction to visualization, ensuring accuracy, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated, user‑friendly systems, reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
- Write high‑quality SQL queries, Python scripts, and ETL pipelines for data processing and modeling.
- Develop self‑service automated solutions to reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency.
- Apply analytical and statistical techniques to solve complex problems and inform business decisions.
- Define, monitor, and report on key metrics and performance indicators for continuous improvement.
- Conduct deep‑dive investigations of operations, identify opportunities, and lead or support implementation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Understand and select appropriate client data resources, determining optimal usage.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years in data visualization with Tableau, Quicksight, PowerBI, or similar.
- 3+ years in data analysis using Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL databases.
- Advanced SQL and scripting (Python) for data processing.
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Proficiency with statistical analysis packages (R, SAS).
- Excellent communication, able to engage both engineers and business leaders.
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift) preferred.
- Understanding of system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Experience with SAP or similar inventory systems a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Master’s degree in a related quantitative field preferred.
