Job Description
Job title Business Development – eCommerce Role Summary Identify, engage, and secure partnership opportunities with e‑commerce merchants to expand the fintech company’s payment solution portfolio. Expectations - Build and maintain long‑term relationships with e‑commerce merchants across diverse verticals. - Deliver tailored payment acceptance solutions that improve checkout experience and drive revenue growth. - Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers, project managers, and account teams to manage the complete sales cycle and ensure smooth merchant onboarding. Key Responsibilities 1. Prospect and qualify new e‑commerce merchants in industries such as retail, gaming, digital services, and marketplaces. 2. Create compelling presentations, proposals, and service agreements that align merchant needs with product capabilities. 3. Manage the end‑to‑end sales process—from lead generation and qualification to contract negotiation and handover to account management. 4. Maintain accurate activity and qualification data in the company CRM system. 5. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to generate new leads and enhance brand presence. 6. Conduct market research and analysis to identify new growth opportunities and competitive trends within the e‑commerce ecosystem. Required Skills - 2–5 years of business development, sales, or partnership experience in e‑commerce, SaaS, or fintech. - Deep understanding of the e‑commerce ecosystem, merchant operations, payment gateways, digital wallets, checkout optimization, and fraud prevention. - Superior communication and negotiation skills in English; additional languages are a plus. - Strong research, analytical, and data‑driven decision‑making capabilities. - Proven ability to build trust, influence stakeholders, and nurture long‑term client relationships. - Self‑motivated, results‑oriented, and agile in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline. - Certifications in sales, business development, or relevant fintech domains (e.g., Certified Payments Professional, Certified Business Development Professional) are desirable.
