**Job title:** Systems Testing/QA Specialist – Senior
**Role Summary:**
Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist responsible for designing, planning, and executing manual and automated tests for provincial health consents interfaces (PCOI R3, CMTA, OLIS, PCR, SMILE/CMRO, OAG). Works within Agile Scrum, contributes to testing strategy, test planning, and CI/CD integration to deliver fully tested releases under tight schedules.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver thorough, traceable testing artifacts (plans, cases, scripts, reports).
- Maintain and enhance automated test suites in a changing functional environment.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and product leads to validate system requirements and integrations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop testing strategy, test plans, and tool selection.
- Estimate and track testing effort; provide status to leads.
- Create and execute manual test cases and data for UI and backend systems.
- Design, script, and maintain automated test suites (Selenium/WebDriver, SOAPUI, REST).
- Perform functional, integration, connectivity, error‑handling, and security tests (OAuth, JWT).
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab).
- Produce traceability matrices, defect logs, and issue escalations.
- Support UAT and provide feedback on requirements and design.
**Required Skills:**
- 6–8+ years of experience in testing and automation in electronic health or clinical software projects.
- Hands‑on with UI/web services automation (Selenium, Selenium WebDriver, SOAPUI); data‑driven testing.
- Proficiency in SQL/Oracle, ETL, and data querying.
- Experience with HL7 and FHIR message structures and testing.
- RESTful API testing; OAuth/JWT authentication testing.
- Agile Scrum experience: test planning, execution, reporting, and backlog grooming.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Maven).
- Knowledge of test management tools (JIRA, Dexter).
- Programming (Java, Python, or similar) for automated test script development.
- Understanding of object‑oriented testing methods and structured development life cycle.
- Awareness of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification preferred.
