Job title: Golang & Python Backend Developer
Role Summary: Design, develop, and maintain microservices in Go and Python, build APIs (REST, gRPC), create ETL pipelines, and integrate with cloud Gov platforms while ensuring secure, high‑performance solutions.
Expactations: Deliver scalable, compliant services on long‑term contract, collaborate across data, security, and DevSecOps teams, and actively participate in Agile processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend microservices using Go (Gin/Fiber) and Python (FastAPI/Flask).
- Design and implement RESTful and gRPC APIs integrated with enterprise systems.
- Build, schedule, and optimize large‑scale ETL workflows for data ingestion and transformation.
- Integrate services with AWS GovCloud or Azure Government (Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/Aurora, API Gateway, Step Functions).
- Create and manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) aligned with DevSecOps standards.
- Ensure FISMA/FedRAMP compliance in collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and security teams.
- Optimize application performance, concurrency, and low‑latency data processing.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests; uphold code coverage and quality metrics.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, retrospectives, demos) and contribute to technical documentation.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience in Go and Python.
- Proficient with REST/gRPC, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native services.
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with JSON/YAML, OpenAPI, and Swagger documentation.
- Hands‑on with AWS GovCloud or Azure Gov environments.
- Secure coding practices, formal DevSecOps pipelines, and performance profiling.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – GovCloud, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, Go Professional Developer) are preferred.
