Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Java Developer with strong hands-on experience in building, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will be a highly skilled Java professional who can work onsite in Chicago, collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the full software development lifecycle.

This role requires deep expertise in Java-based technologies, strong problem-solving skills, and experience working in fast-paced, enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance Java applications
Participate in requirements analysis, system design, and technical discussions
Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks
Collaborate with front-end developers, QA, DevOps, and business teams
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues
Support application deployments and post-production issues
Contribute to performance tuning, optimization, and security enhancements

Required Skills & Qualifications

7+ years of strong hands-on experience in Java development
Expertise in Core Java, Java 8+
Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot
Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
Experience with ORM frameworks such as Hibernate or JPA
Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work onsite full-time
