DevOps Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary**
Seasoned DevOps professional responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure. Drives automation, scalability, and reliability across development, QA, UAT, and production environments, ensuring secure and efficient delivery of applications on AWS and Azure platforms.
**Expactations**
- Deliver robust CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions within a 12‑month contract, with potential extension.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with development, QA, and ops to elevate DevOps maturity and maintain high‑availability standards.
- Apply industry best practices in security, observability, and configuration management to support regulated or enterprise‑grade systems.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and maintain Jenkins pipelines, including shared libraries and plugin configuration.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for DEV, QA, UAT, and PROD stages.
- Integrate source control (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and artifact repositories (SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory).
- Provision and manage AWS/Azure compute, storage, networking, and IAM resources using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Build, orchestrate, and scale Docker containers in Kubernetes clusters; manage Helm charts and ArgoCD for GitOps workflows.
- Monitor system performance and reliability with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and CloudWatch; respond to alerts and incidents.
- Enforce security controls, secrets management, and access policies across pipelines and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot CI/CD failures, deployment issues, and environment‑related problems.
- Document processes, pipelines, and operational procedures for knowledge transfer and audit readiness.
**Required Skills**
- 8+ years total IT experience; 5+ years focused on DevOps engineering.
- Advanced proficiency in Jenkins (pipeline scripting, shared libraries, plugins).
- Strong command of Git, Docker, and Kubernetes (k8s).
- Experience with AWS or Azure cloud services and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Scripting skills in Shell, Bash, Python, or Groovy.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments, Ansible, Helm, and GitOps concepts (ArgoCD).
- Knowledge of CI/CD security tools (Snyk, Aqua, Trivy, Checkmarx).
- Understanding of SDLC, Agile, and DevOps best practices.
- Experience in large enterprise, regulated, or high‑availability environments.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Terraform Associate, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are considered advantageous.
