**Job Title:** Cloud Architect
**Role Summary:** Design and implement secure AWS compute solutions, develop OS base images, and automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and related tooling. Lead technical guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer within regulated environments.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver architecture and operational designs that meet compliance and security mandates.
- Mentor teams on best practices and emerging cloud technologies.
- Produce high‑quality deliverables and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect AWS compute resources (EC2, ECS/EKS, Batch) with focus on performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Build and maintain immutable OS base images via AWS Image Builder or equivalent.
- Implement and maintain IaC pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, BASH, Python, and JSON/YAML.
- Manage source control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and artifact repositories (Artifactory).
- Perform OS hardening, patch management, CVE analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, change management (ServiceNow or similar), and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot Linux OS and networking issues across distributed environments.
- Provide thought leadership, best‑practice recommendations, and alternative solutions to stakeholders.
- Contribute to data conversion, maintenance, and project documentation.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in Linux OS administration, filesystem, package/patch management, and hardening.
- Strong AWS compute domain knowledge, including EC2, ECS/EKS, Batch, and associated services.
- Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, BASH, Python, JSON/YAML, Git, AWS CLI/SDK (boto3).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability scanning, CVE management, and artifact repositories.
- Familiarity with SDLC tools and change management processes (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Ability to troubleshoot Linux and networking problems in cloud environments.
- Strong systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and security best‑practice expertise.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Preferable certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or relevant Linux/DevOps certifications.
