Job Description: **Job Title:** Security Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for securing cloud infrastructure and strengthening the organization’s security posture. Conducts risk assessments, audits configurations, enhances monitoring, and supports compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001). Works cross‑functionally to embed best practices throughout the stack. **Expectations:** - Operate with high autonomy in a fast‑paced, scaling environment. - Lead initiatives that proactively mitigate security risks. - Maintain compliance readiness and audit support. **Key Responsibilities:** - Perform risk assessments of internal systems and third‑party applications. - Audit and harden security settings on endpoints, cloud infra, applications, and CI/CD pipelines. - Design and implement improved monitoring and detection capabilities. - Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security best practices. - Support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance activities, including documentation and remediation. - Provide guidance on IAM policies, infrastructure-as-code security, and cloud‑native controls. **Required Skills:** - Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP). - Expertise in IAM, security‑by‑design, and infrastructure‑as‑code. - Experience conducting risk assessments and security reviews. - Strong grasp of security principles and industry standards (NIST, CIS, ISO). - Proficiency with monitoring/detection tools and SIEM integration. - Ability to translate technical findings into clear documentation for compliance. **Bonus Skills (Preferred):** - Familiarity with blockchain technologies, smart contracts, and decentralized finance concepts. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, GCP/AWS security certs, or equivalent) are a plus but not mandatory.
