Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Drive profitable cloud adoption and operational excellence across Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud, ensuring secure, resilient, and scalable cloud services.
Expectations: Deliver continuous cloud innovation, maintain high availability, enforce security best practices, and support cross‑functional teams in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and troubleshoot Azure Gov Cloud environment: installations, configuration, deployments, integrations, updates, and administration using Azure Kubernetes, Terraform Enterprise, GitHub, and related tools.
- Provide day‑to‑day support, triage and resolve cloud ecosystem issues and outages.
- Design, implement, and manage complex cloud solutions across database, virtualization, containerization, DevOps, networking, and scripting domains.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud performance; define disaster recovery and data backup standards.
- Secure the cloud environment by implementing controls, threat protection, identity and access management.
- Manage data feeds and integrations for seamless data exchange between systems.
- Collaborate with project teams, server, storage, database, security, and application stakeholders.
- Advocate new technologies and best practices in cloud, continuous integration, automation, and process improvement.
Required Skills
- 4+ years in cloud engineering or related field.
- Advanced proficiency with public and private clouds, and Azure Gov Cloud services.
- Expertise in Azure Kubernetes, Terraform, GitHub, and equivalent IaC & CI/CD tools.
- Strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), automation, and orchestration experience.
- Cloud security fundamentals: data protection, threat mitigation, identity & access management.
- Data integration, messaging, and API design knowledge.
- Monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, ticketing systems, and stakeholder communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, time management, and teamwork.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Engineer Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent) are preferred.
