Job Title: Azure DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for a secure data warehouse solution, ensuring compliance with strict government security standards.
Expactations: 5+ years in cloud infrastructure and DevOps; demonstrated experience designing large‑scale data warehouse deployments on Azure; proficiency in Azure administrative tasks and DevOps tooling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provision and configure Azure data services (Synapse, Data Lake, Storage, Data Factory)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Boards)
- Develop infrastructure as code with ARM templates, Terraform, and Bicep
- Automate build, deployment, backup, and disaster‑recovery processes
- Implement network security, firewalls, VPNs, Azure Key Vault, Azure AD integration, MFA, and compliance controls per government policy
- Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, Azure Security Center, and Azure Policy
- Establish ExpressRoute connectivity and manage security scanning tools (AppScan, Veracode)
- Collaborate with cross‑functional DevOps teams and stakeholders to ensure secure, compliant delivery.
Required Skills:
- Azure expertise (Administrator or Solutions Architect certification preferred)
- CI/CD pipeline design (Azure DevOps, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Terraform, Bicep)
- Git/TFS version control and branching strategies
- Azure data services (Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory)
- Network security, VPN, ExpressRoute, Azure Key Vault, MFA, Azure AD
- Security & compliance tools (Azure Security Center, Azure Policy, AppScan/Veracode)
- Backup and disaster‑recovery planning in Azure
- Strong scripting and automation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect certification strongly preferred.
