**Job Title**: Systems & Infrastructures Engineer (H/F)
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain the university’s IT systems and infrastructure. Ensure high availability, performance, security, and support for services such as virtualization, containerization, web hosting, databases, networking, and authentication. Contribute to cross‑functional projects and provide technical expertise and project management support.
**Expectations**
- Instill and uphold robust system architecture and security standards.
- Deliver solutions that meet user requirements and strategic goals of the Digital Direction.
- Collaborate with network, security, and application teams while working autonomously on projects.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Install, configure, and maintain physical/virtual servers and operating systems.
2. Monitor system performance, security, and availability; troubleshoot incidents.
3. Deploy, support, and improve services (web, databases, authentication, networking).
4. Develop scripts and tools for system administration (bash, Python).
5. Participate in and manage infrastructure projects, providing technical guidance.
6. Conduct technology watch and produce concise documentation and procedures.
**Required Skills**
- Linux system architecture (ext4, XFS, LVM).
- Virtualization: VMWare, Nutanix, Proxmox.
- Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Web hosting: Apache, Nginx, HAProxy.
- Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis.
- Monitoring & metrics: Centreon, ELK Stack, Grafana.
- Scripting: Bash, Python.
- Basic networking (TCP/IP, VLAN, routing).
- Technical English (reading/writing).
**Desired Additional Skills** (not mandatory)
- Windows Server administration
- Distributed storage (Ceph, S3)
- Authentication services (LDAP, RADIUS, SSO, MFA)
- Deployment tools (Ansible, Terraform, Cloud‑init)
- CI/CD, Git, PHP/NodeJS
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- No specific certifications required, but experience with relevant certifications (e.g., VMWare Certified Professional, Docker Certified Associate) is a plus.
