Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Subject Access Request Officer **Role Summary:** Responsible for managing, processing, and completing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) in accordance with GDPR and organisational policies. Provides expert redaction of sensitive information, ensures statutory timeframes are met, and liaises with internal stakeholders to secure required data. **Expectations:** - Full-time, 35 hours per week, hybrid working (4 days remote). - 6‑month temporary contract, extendable. - Demonstrate recent, relevant experience in DSAR or data protection roles. - Adhere strictly to statutory deadlines and audit requirements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Process high-volume incoming DSARs and prepare responses within statutory timeframes. - Conduct detailed redaction of sensitive data in compliance with GDPR and company policy. - Analyze and interpret large data sets to determine information to disclose or withhold. - Coordinate with internal teams to collect necessary information and clarify queries. - Maintain accurate, organised records of all DSAR activity for audit, compliance, and reporting. - Provide specialist advice on DSAR processes, data protection principles, and best practices to colleagues. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of GDPR, data protection principles, and DSAR requirements. - Proficiency in data redaction techniques and tools. - Excellent analytical and detail‑oriented data handling abilities. - Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Ability to work independently and manage workload within tight deadlines. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (or equivalent professional qualification). - Valid experience or certification in data protection (e.g., CIPM, CIPP) preferred. - Demonstrated recent experience with DSAR processing or related compliance functions.
