Job Description
**Job Title:** Software Engineer **Role Summary:** Develop and deploy computer‑vision and AI capabilities in an Avionics Common Development Environment to support organization‑wide digital transformation in a DOD/aerospace setting. **Expectations:** Deliver production‑ready AI solutions, establish reusable patterns, and ensure performance and scalability across avionics programs. **Key Responsibilities** - Serve as subject‑matter expert on computer‑vision and AI for the Avionics Common Development Environment. - Design, integrate, and deploy vision capabilities across the organization. - Define implementation patterns, reference architectures, and reusable components for enterprise adoption. - Integrate vision products into existing workflows, toolchains, and platforms. - Develop performance metrics, validation strategies, and monitoring for deployed models. - Collaborate with stakeholders to onboard programs and scale vision usage. - Troubleshoot model performance, updating data pipelines and models as needed. - Produce technical documentation and implementation guidance. - Contribute to automation, tools, and processes that standardize AI‑enabled development. **Required Skills** - 3+ years professional software development. - Hands‑on computer‑vision solution development. - Experience in avionics and/or aerospace environments. - Integration of AI‑enabled capabilities into production systems. - Proficiency with machine‑learning libraries (OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow). - Building data pipelines for image/video ingestion, labeling, training, evaluation. - Deploying models to edge, embedded, or real‑time systems. - Familiarity with CI/CD and automation for ML software delivery. - Experience developing internal tools, SDKs, or reusable services. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field).
