Software Engineer develops and deploys computer vision and AI capabilities within an Avionics Common Development Environment to enable organization-wide digital transformation.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
3+ years of professional software development experience
Hands-on experience developing computer vision solutions
Experience working in avionics and/or aerospace environments
Experience integrating AI-enabled capabilities into production software systems

Preferred Skills

Experience with machine learning and AI model development and deployment for computer vision use cases
Experience with common computer vision libraries and frameworks (e.g., OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
Experience building data pipelines for image/video ingestion, labeling, training, and evaluation
Experience deploying models to edge, embedded, or real-time systems
Familiarity with CI/CD and automation practices for ML-enabled software delivery
Experience developing internal tools, SDKs, or reusable services to support enterprise adoption

Job Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter expert for computer vision and AI applications within the Avionics Common Development Environment
Develop, integrate, and deploy computer vision capabilities used across the avionics organization
Define implementation patterns, reference architectures, and reusable components for enterprise adoption
Support integration of the computer vision product into existing workflows, toolchains, and platforms
Develop performance metrics, validation strategies, and monitoring approaches for deployed solutions
Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to onboard programs and scale usage of computer vision capabilities
Troubleshoot model performance issues and support improvements through data and pipeline updates
Create technical documentation and implementation guidance for teams adopting the computer vision solution
Contribute to automation, tools, and processes that standardize AI-enabled development across avionics programs
