**Job title**
Project Manager
**Role Summary**
Lead end‑to‑end management of projects on a 12‑month contract, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards. Apply proven project governance, risk, and stakeholder management practices in a non‑remote office environment.
**Expectations**
* Deliver projects that meet or exceed scope, schedule, and cost targets.
* Maintain rigorous progress reporting, earned‑value metrics, and financial stewardship.
* Foster collaborative relationships across internal service teams and external vendors.
* Ensure compliance with established project management standards and processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and enforce project governance structure, roles, and templates.
* Draft project charter, scope statement, and risk management plan.
* Build and maintain detailed project schedule (WBS, CPM/PERT) using MS Project or Primavera.
* Apply Earned Value Management (CPI/SPI) to monitor schedule and cost performance.
* Coordinate design, build, test, and integration of technology components; oversee UAT and defect resolution.
* Conduct regular status meetings, stakeholder updates, and progress reporting.
* Manage project budget: cost estimation, tracking, accruals, and financial closure.
* Lead change control: scope, schedule, and cost changes through formal request documentation.
* Oversee vendor selection, procurement, contract administration, and supplier performance.
* Implement quality assurance plans to ensure deliverables meet specification.
* Facilitate stakeholder and human resource management, communication, and change management initiatives.
**Required Skills**
* Strong command of PMP or Prince2 methodology; Agile, Scrum, or Kanban practice.
* Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent scheduling tools.
* Advanced financial reporting: budgeting, cost tracking, earned‑value analysis.
* Vendor management and procurement process knowledge.
* Risk assessment, mitigation planning, and issue resolution.
* Excellent stakeholder and team communication.
* Familiarity with IT/telecom environments (wireline, wireless, converged).
* Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive project closure.
**Required Education & Certifications**
* Post‑secondary qualification in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology.
* Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 certification.
* Minimum 5 years project‑management experience, with at least 3 years in financial reporting and vendor accountability.
* Certification in People Change Management (Prosci) and Agile/Scrum credentials are desirable.
