We are looking for a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position in Regina, Saskatchewan. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

On-site or Hybrid work available. 8 hours a day, 40 days per week.

Role Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our client's team and play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. The ideal candidate will have previous experience identifying and understanding business requirements, analyzing processes and recommending technological improvements. You will be responsible for managing complex business scenarios and facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and meet the desired outcomes.

Responsibilities

Facilitate requirements elicitation sessions with project stakeholders, team members and end users
Lead sprint planning, stand-ups and retrospectives
Ensure adherence to SI SDLC project methodology (agile, iterative, waterfall)
Prepare session and elicitation documents, user stories and use cases
Develop comprehensive requirements documentation, including scope, objectives, business problems and solution context
Create State Model and Process Flow diagrams
Perform Data Mapping between applications
Liaise with business and technology stakeholders to develop business requirements into solutions
Map business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements
Assess feasibility and alignment of requirements with business needs
Troubleshoot issues, develop new approaches and facilitate alignment sessions
Recommend and incorporate best practices into analysis
Estimate time and resource requirements (human, financial)
Prepare work breakdown structures and conduct project analysis using various techniques
Review technology prototypes to ensure they meet requirements

Required Skills and Experience

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or an equivalent field
Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in managing medium to large size projects
Proven experience managing and prioritizing multiple projects or one larger complex project
Previous experience and thorough knowledge in Agile and Agile/Hybrid methodology
Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing and holding third party vendors accountable
Certification in People Change Management (e.g. Prosci) is considered a plus
Additional certification in Agile, Scrum or Kanban is considered a plus
Minimum 3 years of experience in IT or Telecom is preferred
