Job title: Technical Engagement Lead – Manager (Growth and Transformation)
Role Summary: Lead a team of 3‑6 engineers on client engagements for financial‑services digital products, overseeing architecture, delivery, and technical execution while translating business goals into secure, production‑ready solutions.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality code, maintain engineering standards, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements. Manage stakeholder communication, staffing, and delivery risk in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coach engineering team, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Own technical discovery, solution design, architecture decisions, and code reviews from kickoff to launch and optimization.
- Translate business and product requirements into scoped, estimable technical plans.
- Partner with client engineering, architecture, security, and platform stakeholders; present decisions and risks to technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Guide integrations across APIs, third‑party platforms, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, compliance, and governance standards for regulated financial services.
- Identify and mitigate technical debt, platform risk, and reliability gaps; balance feature velocity with long‑term platform health.
- Support Agile delivery across cross‑functional teams (product, program, data, design, business).
- Contribute to pre‑sales, statements of work, and engineering process improvements.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years software engineering, 2+ years leading client‑facing teams.
- Hands‑on experience with modern web technologies (React, Next.js, Node.js, Python or equivalents).
- Strong cloud, CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and infrastructure‑aware design expertise.
- Proven integration design across APIs, third‑party services, and data systems.
- Agile delivery experience with cross‑functional collaboration.
- Excellent client‑facing communication, ability to explain trade‑offs and technical decisions.
- Experience in regulated environments (financial services preferred).
- Judgment in balancing speed, scalability, maintainability, and risk.
- Commitment to high‑trust teamwork and mentorship.
- Desired: Consulting/agency delivery for financial services; martech platforms (CMS, CRM, CDP); data pipelines/ETL; AI‑assisted engineering, pre‑sales support, and internal tooling contributions.
