2026 LAUNCH Program: Data Science Product Manager Intern
**Role Summary**
A 10‑week immersive internship focused on integrating data science initiatives with product strategy. Interns will collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to design, launch, and evaluate product experiments, build data pipelines, and prototype machine‑learning and LLM solutions that drive business value.
**Expectations**
- Engage in every stage of a product experiment: planning, facilitation, development, launch, data collection, analysis, and presentation.
- Develop technical deliverables under mentorship, including SQL‑based pipelines, Python/R data processing scripts, and Tableau dashboards.
- Perform data‑driven root‑cause analysis and translate insights into actionable product recommendations.
- Maintain clear, timely communication with stakeholders and document findings comprehensively.
- Demonstrate a proactive learning attitude, adaptability to new technologies, and strong teamwork skills.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Identify product impact opportunities through analysis of user and business data.
2. Assist in building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines to support experimentation.
3. Support the creation, evaluation, and iteration of machine‑learning models and LLM prompts for prototype features.
4. Build and refine visualizations and dashboards using Tableau or similar tools.
5. Participate in cross‑functional sprint meetings, contributing insights and ensuring alignment.
6. Compile findings into reports and deliver concise presentations to product and engineering teams.
7. Continuously gather feedback to improve data processes, experiment design, and product outcomes.
**Required Skills**
- Proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and Pandas for data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI or equivalent).
- Foundational knowledge of statistics, machine‑learning techniques, and LLM technologies.
- Strong analytical and critical‑thinking abilities to connect business problems with data solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting complex data insights clearly.
- Team orientation with high emotional intelligence and collaborative mindset.
- Self‑motivated, resilient, and eager to learn new tools and methodologies.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Current bachelor’s student or recent graduate (Winter 2026 / Summer 2027) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Demonstrated coursework or projects involving large‑scale data extraction, analysis, and machine‑learning model development.
