What You'll Do

Manage and develop a team of 3-6 engineers, providing day-to-day technical leadership, coaching, and performance feedback on a client engagement.
Lead technical discovery, solution design, and architecture decisions from kickoff through launch and optimization.
Own technical execution for the engagement — staying close to the code through PR reviews, implementation guidance, and deployment oversight while setting engineering standards, code quality gates, and production support practices.
Translate business goals and product requirements into technical plans with clear scope, estimates, milestones, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
Partner with project or program leadership to manage staffing plans, delivery risk, timelines, and technical forecasting, maintaining a predictable delivery cadence.
Serve as the primary technical counterpart to client engineering, architecture, security, and platform stakeholders.
Guide integrations across internal and client systems, including APIs, shared services, third-party platforms, customer data flows, and enterprise tooling.
Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, compliance, and governance requirements appropriate for regulated financial-services environments.
Present architecture decisions, progress, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior client audiences.
Identify technical debt, platform risk, and reliability gaps, and advocate for the right balance between feature velocity and long-term platform health.

What We're Looking For

5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing or tech-leading engineering teams in client-facing or cross-functional delivery environments.
Demonstrated hands-on experience building and delivering modern web applications and services using technologies such as React, Next.js, Node.js, Python, or similar frameworks.
Strong understanding of cloud platforms and modern engineering practices, including CI/CD, observability, automated testing, and infrastructure-aware application design.
Experience designing and delivering integrations across APIs, third-party platforms, customer data systems, and enterprise applications.
Track record of scoping and estimating technical work from business requirements.
Clear client-facing communication skills, with the ability to explain tradeoffs, risks, and technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional partners across product, program management, data, design, and business teams.
Experience operating in environments with strong security, privacy, compliance, or governance requirements; financial-services or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
Strong judgment in balancing speed, scalability, maintainability, and delivery risk.
Personal commitment to being a reliable, collaborative, and high-trust teammate and manager.

Even Better

Experience in consulting, agency, or embedded delivery models serving financial-services clients.
Familiarity with customer data, identity, consent, privacy, and secure data-handling patterns in regulated environments.
Experience with martech and customer platforms such as CMS, CRM, CDP, analytics, experimentation, personalization, and tag management systems.
Familiarity with data pipelines, warehouse technologies, ETL workflows, or event-driven architectures.
Experience contributing to statements of work, technical solutioning, estimation, or pre-sales support for follow-on phases of work.
Contributions to developer tooling, internal platforms, or engineering process improvements.
Familiarity with AI-assisted engineering workflows or practical applications of gene
