**Job Title:** Senior Network Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Lead and mentor a small, highly technical network and security team, applying deep expertise in Juniper and Palo Alto platforms to design, implement, and maintain enterprise‑grade infrastructure. Drive proactive incident response and ensure robust network performance, security, and reliability.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver expert guidance on network design, security architecture, and operational excellence.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, fostering collaboration, empathy, and respect within the team.
- Serve as the primary responder for critical incidents and major changes, ensuring minimal disruption.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Advise on and implement routing (OSPF, BGP), switching, VPN, and load‑balancing (F5) solutions.
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Juniper EX, QFX, MIST, APSTRA devices.
- Administer Palo Alto firewalls, Prisma Access, and related security policies.
- Execute network security audits and apply remediation actions.
- Utilize troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, Nagios, and other monitoring solutions.
- Lead incident handling, root‑cause analysis, and post‑mortem documentation.
- Facilitate change management processes for network upgrades and patches.
**Required Skills:**
- Expertise in network and security engineering, with proven experience in enterprise‑scale deployments.
- Proficiency in Juniper (EX, QFX, MIST, APSTRA) and Palo Alto (firewalls, Prisma Access).
- Strong knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VPN technologies, load balancing, and firewall management.
- Hands‑on experience with monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Nagios, etc.).
- Ability to function as an onsite incident responder and change lead.
- Excellent communication, mentorship, and teamwork capabilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications: Juniper JNCIP (Networking/Firewall), Juniper JNCIS, Palo Alto PA‑CP, or equivalent.
- CCNA/CCNP and BGP certifications preferred.
- Continuous learning of emerging networking and security technologies.
