Job Specifications

Do you want to play a key role in the Agile transformation of a large international financial institution?

You will join a digital tribe responsible end-to-end for enterprise-facing web and mobile solutions.

The environment is based on cross-functional Agile squads, combining IT and business expertise to develop and maintain high-impact digital products.

You will work in a team delivering features end-to-end, including:

Backend development in a cloud environment
Close collaboration with frontend teams (web & mobile)

Role & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will work in an Agile squad composed of internal and external members and be involved in both Development and Ops activities.

Key responsibilities:

Translate business requirements into high-quality code
Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable backend applications
Develop primarily using Java & Spring Framework
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features
Integrate with external data sources and APIs
Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Apply development best practices and ensure code quality
Identify bottlenecks and fix bugs
Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup and maintenance
Contribute to API automation testing

Required Experience:

Minimum 6 years of relevant experience as a Java developer
Proven experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

Strong expertise in Java
Spring Framework
Maven
Databases
RESTful APIs (Swagger / YAML)
Version control systems (Git)
CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins or equivalent)
SAST tools (SonarQube, Fortify, NexusIQ or equivalent)
Docker & container technologies
Basic knowledge of Groovy

Development practices:

Clean Code principles
Object-Oriented principles, SOLID, design patterns
Domain Driven Design (DDD)
Test Driven Development (TDD)
Willingness to pair program
Regular refactoring mindset

Nice to Have:

React
Node.js

Language Requirements:

English: very good (mandatory)
French or Dutch: nice to have
