**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting a SaaS platform. Collaborate with DevOps to integrate cloud services into CI/CD pipelines, automate provisioning, and optimize performance while ensuring security and compliance across global client environments.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver scalable, secure cloud solutions that meet client workload requirements.
- Reduce infrastructure-related incidents through proactive monitoring and automation.
- Mentor clients on AWS best practices and operational troubleshooting.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of infrastructure processes and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Implement and configure AWS servers, selecting appropriate instance types and networking components (VPC, subnets, route tables, security groups).
- Set up IAM roles, encryption, and network ACLs to safeguard data and access.
- Install, update, and tune software packages on AWS instances for optimal performance.
- Design and deploy load‑balancing, auto‑scaling, and high‑availability architectures.
- Automate resource provisioning and configuration with AWS CloudFormation or equivalent IaC tools.
- Integrate cloud operations into CI/CD workflows in partnership with DevOps teams.
- Provide technical training and support documentation to clients during onboarding and ongoing use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network, performance, and deployment issues for VoIP/web‑based systems.
- Document infrastructure designs, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep knowledge of Amazon Web Services (EC2, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, Load Balancers, Auto Scaling).
- Strong scripting experience (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and integration of cloud operations.
- Proficiency in networking concepts, including subnetting, routing, security groups, and ACLs.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus).
- Solid understanding of security best practices, encryption, and compliance requirements.
- Ability to design scalable, fault‑tolerant architectures for web and VoIP services.
- Excellent communication skills for client training and cross‑team collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- AWS certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate, or equivalent.
- Professional experience in cloud infrastructure engineering or a similar role.
