Job title: DevSecOps Engineer – Active Secret Clearance Required
Role Summary:
Provide end‑to‑end developer security operations for secure Linux/Unix environments. Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, configuration control, and infrastructure as code (IaC) for cloud and container workloads. Maintain and enhance security compliance in development, build, and deployment pipelines under a Secret clearance.
Expactations:
- Maintain an active Secret level security clearance and comply with all related security procedures.
- Deliver secure, automated build, test, and deployment processes for Linux/Unix-based applications.
- Apply IaC principles to provision, configure, and validate infrastructure in AWS or similar cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, and troubleshoot Linux/Unix production and dev environments.
- Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Git for source‑control management.
- Create and maintain IaC templates (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, AWS CloudFormation) for consistent, repeatable deployments.
- Design, implement, and enforce container security best practices in Kubernetes or similar orchestrators.
- Write scripts and small utilities in Python, PowerShell, Typescript, C#, or Java to automate operational tasks.
- Assess and remediate security vulnerabilities in CI/CD processes and production infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to integrate security controls into the software delivery lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of Linux/Unix development, scripting, and configuration management experience.
- Proficient with CI/CD concepts and GitLab pipelines.
- Strong experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Skilled in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, Packer, AWS CloudFormation or equivalent.
- Programming experience in at least one of: C, C++, Python, PowerShell, Typescript, C#, or Java.
- Familiarity with security best practices for DevSecOps.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Secret clearance required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator, Red Hat Certified Engineer) preferred but not mandatory.
