Job Title: ITS Project Manager, ERP Replacement (2 Year Contract)
Role Summary: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a complex ERP replacement, coordinating cross‑functional teams, vendor relations, and stakeholder engagement to meet business and functional objectives.
Expectations: Deliver project on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards while maintaining governance, risk management, and compliance with municipal procurement policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end‑to‑end ERP implementation, including business analysts, coordinators, and BU representatives.
- Partner with vendor PM to establish project plan, artifacts, and testing strategy.
- Develop status reports, and maintain Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Decisions logs.
- Oversee testing lead, support test plan development and execution.
- Monitor and report on project capital budgets, preparing budget documents and presentations for senior leadership.
- Lead RFP creation, evaluation, and vendor contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with policies, pricing, milestones, SLAs, and SOWs.
- Serve as primary vendor contact, managing escalations and communication with directors and C‑level executives.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors, and external agencies, including contract management and change requests.
- Facilitate governance bodies, engage sponsors and stakeholders, and manage expectations.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and high standards of work quality.
Required Skills
- Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, or equivalent).
- 5+ years managing large ERP implementations (preferably Workday) in public sector or municipal environments.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise finance, payroll, and HCM platforms.
- Vendor and contract management experience, including RFP process and negotiations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, Jira, etc.).
- Risk and issue management expertise.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince2 Practitioner preferred.
- Workday implementation certification advantageous.
