Job Description

**Job Title** Senior Cloud Security Engineer **Role Summary** Lead security architecture and operations for a large multi‑cloud migration (on‑prem to Azure) focused on secure cloud adoption, risk‑aligned controls, and continuous improvement of security posture within a healthcare context. **Expectations** - Minimum 12 years in technology, with at least 6 years as a cloud security engineer. - CISSP mandatory; additional Azure and AWS security certifications preferred. - Proven experience in multi‑cloud environments, IAM, vulnerability management, and NIST controls. - Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external vendors, and managed service providers. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and refine security controls across Azure, AWS, and on‑prem environments. - Manage and optimize identity and access management strategies. - Validate security alerts, triage escalations, and coordinate with MSSPs to enhance detection and prevention. - Develop incident response procedures, runbooks, tabletop exercises, and hardening guidance. - Ensure alignment with NIST, HIPAA‑like, PCI‑DSS, zero‑trust, CIS benchmarks, and cloud provider best practices. - Automate security workflows and improve tooling for ongoing operational security. - Provide risk‑based recommendations and support enterprise migration initiatives to reduce costs. **Required Skills** - Deep knowledge of Azure and AWS security services and certification frameworks. - Proficiency with application scanning tools and vulnerability assessment. - Understanding of NIST controls, CIS benchmarks, and healthcare security requirements. - Experience with DevSecOps practices and risk ranking methodologies. - Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills (e.g., ISBARQ). **Required Education & Certifications** - CISSP (CompTIA Security+ optional). - Azure Security Engineer Associate or equivalent. - AWS Certified Security – Specialty or equivalent. - Minimum 12‑year technology background with 6+ years in cloud security engineering. ---
