Job title: Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Design, deploy, monitor, patch, and maintain hybrid on‑premises and Azure infrastructure for servers, storage, networking, security, and Microsoft 365, ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance.
Expectations: 6+ years of infrastructure engineering; strong Windows and Linux expertise; expert in monitoring tools (LogicMonitor preferred); proactive monitoring; patch and configuration management; disaster recovery; backup and restore; PowerShell scripting; ITIL governance; experience with servers, storage, M365, Azure, and hypervisors; cross‑training capability; law‑firm experience a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and optimize server, storage, and security infrastructure in hybrid environments.
- Execute proactive and reactive system monitoring for uptime, reliability, and performance.
- Manage OS, security, and third‑party patching; support configuration management and standardization.
- Design, deploy, and improve infrastructure solutions; lead automation initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to enhance resilience, security, and compliance.
- Document processes and facilitate knowledge sharing for robust backup coverage.
Required Skills:
- Windows and Linux administration.
- Infrastructure monitoring (LogicMonitor, etc.).
- Patch and configuration management tools.
- Disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Backup and restore (on‑prem and cloud).
- PowerShell scripting.
- ITIL governance knowledge.
- Hypervisor experience (VMware, Hyper‑V).
- M365 and Azure cloud operations.
- Strong collaboration, cross‑training, and documentation abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or equivalent).
- ITIL Foundation (or higher).
- Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
- Optional: certifications in backup, patch management, or monitoring (e.g., LogicMonitor, Veeam).
