**Job Title:** Infotainment Test Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Engineers comprehensive validation of automotive infotainment systems, associated mobile applications, and cloud‑hosted services. Designs test strategies, develops scripts, builds test benches, and logs defects while coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure quality and reliability across vehicle, head‑unit, and mobile platforms.
**Expectations:**
- 5–10 years of test engineering experience in connected vehicles or infotainment.
- Proven ability to create and execute detailed test plans and automated scripts.
- Strong background in defect management, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated scripts for vehicle, head‑unit, and mobile app validation.
- Configure test benches and vehicle setups for functional and performance testing.
- Execute manual and automated tests on native iOS and Android devices, in‑car networks (CAN, MOST), and cloud‑hosted micro‑services.
- Log defects, triage issues, and prepare comprehensive test reports.
- Provide technical support: create documentation, record training videos, host troubleshooting/training sessions.
- Capture and analyze system logs from automation frameworks, monitoring tools, and vehicle/software telemetry.
- Collaborate with Platform Engineering to triage defects in lower environments and identify enhancement opportunities.
- Use Jira, Confluence, and related dashboarding tools for defect tracking, documentation, and reporting.
**Required Skills:**
- Connected vehicle and infotainment system validation expertise.
- Extensive experience with log collection for vehicle head‑units, mobile platforms, and communication systems.
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and enterprise QA frameworks (BOD, TDD).
- API testing of micro‑services (REST, gRPC) across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Knowledge of in‑car network protocols (CAN, MOST) is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- ISTQB or equivalent QA certification preferred.
