Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Data Scientist I **Role Summary:** Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of predictive models and machine learning solutions that drive business outcomes. Convert complex datasets into actionable insights, manage end‑to‑end data pipelines, and ensure models perform reliably in production while communicating findings to non‑technical stakeholders. **Expectations:** - 5+ years of production data science and MLOps experience. - Ability to influence product strategy through data‑driven recommendations. - Deliver measurable impact on key business metrics. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, build, test, and deploy predictive models and ML algorithms. - Preprocess, engineer features, and ensure quality for structured & unstructured data. - Monitor, evaluate, and tune model performance in production. - Create visual dashboards, data stories, and executive briefings. - Research emerging AI/ML technologies and recommend adoption. - Apply Agile principles to iterate quickly on models and experiments. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, product, business) to integrate models into services. **Required Skills:** - Programming: Python (core libraries: Pandas, Polars, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SHAP), SQL; basic Shell scripting. - Data & workflow tools: Airflow or Argo, Kubernetes, MLFlow, Git, cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks). - ML/AI domains: anomaly detection, time‑series, causal inference, embeddings, large‑language‑models, reinforcement learning. - MLOps best practices for model lifecycle management, deployment, and monitoring. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills; able to translate technical results to business stakeholders. - Experience leading complex data science projects and collaborating across teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field. - Master’s or Ph.D. in AI/ML preferred.
