Summary / Objective

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will be part of the Data & Analytics team, responsible for the design, operation, and continuous improvement of our reporting and analytics platform. You will apply data analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques to solve business challenges and support key initiatives. This role involves communicating complex data science concepts to non-technical audiences and delivering actionable insights that inform business decisions. You will also maintain, enhance, and deploy machine learning applications in production.

This role reports to the Director, Business Intelligence.

What You'll Do

Design, build, and deploy predictive models and machine learning algorithms that deliver measurable business outcomes
Analyze and interpret large, complex datasets to uncover meaningful patterns, trends, and actionable insights
Prepare structured and unstructured data through preprocessing, feature engineering, and data quality assurance
Monitor, evaluate, and optimize AI/ML model performance to ensure accuracy and reliability in production environments
Communicate insights using compelling data visualizations, dashboards, and storytelling techniques
Develop and recommend data-driven strategies and AI solutions that address critical business challenges and drive growth
Research, evaluate, and benchmark emerging AI/ML technologies to inform product and platform roadmaps
Collaborate with leadership to deliver clear, impactful updates on key insights, project milestones, and demonstrations
Leverage MLOps best practices to streamline the end-to-end lifecycle of AI applications from experimentation to deployment and monitoring
Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving acumen, applying agile principles to rapidly test, learn, and iterate
Actively models and promotes Identity Digital’s core values through day-to-day interactions, behaviors, and decision-making

Who You Are / What You Bring

5+ years of experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring production data / ML pipelines
Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or other quantitative field is required; Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in AI/ML preferred
Expertise across several of the following areas: anomaly detection, time-series analysis, structured and unstructured data processing, causal inference, reinforcement learning, embeddings and vector databases, large language models, and modern MLOps / LLMOps practices
Professional experience with key tools and platforms such as Airflow, Argo Workflows, cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake), major cloud providers (AWS, GCP), Git, Kubernetes, MLFlow, Pandas, Polars, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and SHAP
Strong programming proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Shell scripting is a plus
Proven ability to lead and deliver complex data and machine learning projects, collaborating effectively across technical and business teams
Experience designing and implementing data-driven systems leveraging business intelligence, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT technologies
Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues from limited or ambiguous information
Creative and strategic thinker with a strong analytical foundation and a focus on measurable impact
Collaborative communicator who excels in cross-functional environments and builds strong working relationships
Highly organized with excellent time management, attention to detail, and execution discipline
Knowledge of the domain name industry or digital identity ecosystem is a plus
Ability to travel as needed
Ability to work across time zones as part of a global organization as needed
Reliable transportation to the workplace

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary Range

The base salary range for this full-time position is CAD $104,000 - $136,000 (flexibility based on experience) plus additional benefits. In addition, the successful candidate will be eligible to receive other compensation from time to time in the form of discretionary and/or nondiscretionary bonuses and long-term incentive plan. Actual compensation will be influenced by a candidate’s qualifications, internal employee equity considerations, and location. We will not ask for information about a candidate's current or past compensation for purposes of developing an offer of employment.
