**Job Title**
Junior IT Technician
**Role Summary**
Provide on‑site IT support across multiple sites. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain and monitor IT assets, support ERP usage, and implement security and disaster‑recovery measures.
**Expectations**
* Respond to user tickets promptly and professionally.
* Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, asset inventories, and procedures.
* Continuously identify opportunities to improve IT processes and service quality.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, peripherals, and network problems (laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, switches, servers).
- Perform preventive maintenance, monitoring, and repair of IT equipment.
- Manage the full lifecycle of hardware and applications: procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, documentation, and retirement.
- Provide support for the company ERP, triage issues, and coordinate escalation.
- Configure accounts, reset passwords, and guide end users.
- Develop and enforce anti‑virus, anti‑piracy, and secure access policies.
- Contribute to disaster‑recovery planning and implementation.
- Communicate effectively both electronically and face‑to‑face with users and stakeholders.
- Participate in research and adoption of best IT practices to enhance profitability and system value.
- Execute special assignments or projects as directed.
**Required Skills**
- Troubleshooting of Windows/Linux operating systems and common software applications.
- Capability to diagnose and repair hardware components and peripheral devices.
- Network fundamentals (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, switching).
- Asset and inventory management.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
- Time‑management and prioritization.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (equivalent experience acceptable).
- IT certifications are an asset (e.g., A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL, CSSP, M365 Fundamentals).
- Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
