Job Title: Head of Ecommerce Marketing
Role Summary
Lead the end‑to‑end ecommerce marketing function for a multi‑market portfolio, owning revenue, profit, and growth targets. Oversee strategy, paid media, SEO, CRM, conversion optimisation, and agency relationships while driving data‑driven decision making and financial discipline.
Expectations
- Achieve and sustain profitable ecommerce growth in high‑change environments.
- Deliver robust forecasting, KPI reporting, and board‑level insights.
- Build and mentor a high‑performance internal team and manage external agency partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Own commercial performance: earn revenue, manage CAC, LTV, ROAS, CPO, and margin targets across all channels.
- Design, approve, and execute phased multi‑market ecommerce marketing strategy.
- Lead paid media (search, social, affiliates, display, emerging), ensuring optimal budget allocation and continuous ROI improvement.
- Drive SEO & organic growth roadmap to reduce paid dependency and improve traffic quality.
- Own CRM lifecycle strategy: acquisition, activation, retention, reactivation, segmentation, personalization, and automation.
- Spearhead experimentation and conversion optimisation; partner with ecommerce platform to influence site priorities.
- Manage agency portfolio, enforce commercial KPIs, accountability, and performance governance.
- Implement AI tools and frameworks to enhance workflows and insights.
- Report performance, provide forecasts, and inform board and executive reporting.
Required Skills
- 8–12+ years senior ecommerce or DTC performance marketing leadership.
- Proven record of high‑growth, profitable ecommerce achievements.
- Deep expertise in paid media, CRM, SEO, channel economics, and channel mix strategy.
- Strong financial acumen, forecasting discipline, and KPI ownership.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams, developing internal capability, and managing external agencies.
- High data literacy and structured reporting.
- Familiarity with AI for marketing efficiency and insights.
- Experience in multi‑market European ecommerce operations (Shopify preferred).
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or equivalent (preferred).
- Professional certifications in digital marketing, paid media, analytics, or AI analytics (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, or similar) are desirable.
