Social Media, Marketing & Admin Internship
**Role Summary**
Part‑time internship (20–30 hours/week) focused on creating and managing social media content, supporting website & SEO updates, handling client outreach, and providing general administrative support for a growing event‑decor business.
**Expectations**
- Commit to 20–30 flexible hours per week.
- Unpaid internship; commission earned on booked events (W9 required if threshold met).
- Occasional on‑site presence required; reliable transportation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Produce 5+ posts per week and 6 stories per week across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook; capture event behind‑the‑scenes content.
- Design marketing materials using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
- Engage with followers, respond to messages/comments, and grow community reach.
- Track and report platform analytics.
- Update website content via Wix; apply SEO best practices (keywords, meta tags, alt text).
- Manage Google Business Profile updates and assist with basic Google Ads campaigns.
- Research competitors, trends, and potential collaborations/influencers.
- Outreach to local businesses, vendors, and community groups for partnerships.
- Send email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and client updates.
- Research and contact potential clients (event planners, corporate teams, community groups) via social media, email, and industry websites.
- Maintain lead lists, track outreach, and build client relationships.
- Assist with proposals, invoices, client documentation, and digital record keeping.
**Required Skills**
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, (YouTube, LinkedIn optional).
- Basic experience with Wix website editing and SEO.
- Familiarity with Canva, Adobe, or comparable design tools.
- Organized, detail‑oriented, independent work capability.
- Ability to engage on camera for social content.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Current college student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, Event Management, Tourism, Hospitality Management, Human Resources Management, or related field.
- No specific certifications required; bonus if holding Google Ads or Google Business management experience.
