**Job Title**: Software Developer **Role Summary**: Founding Software Developer role in fintech startup focused on building a secure financial device with emphasis on privacy, simplicity, and open banking integration. Role includes shaping product development from concept to launch. **Expectations**: Candidates must demonstrate expertise in software development (frontend/backend/UI/UX/embedded systems), familiarity with open banking APIs, cryptography, or fintech. Requires startup experience, autonomy, and a product-first mindset. Ability to work part-time/async with potential full-time transition post-funding. **Key Responsibilities**: - Architect and build core software for financial applications (including UI/UX, APIs, secure data flows, cryptographic solutions, and embedded firmware). - Collaborate on product strategy and resolve technical challenges in open banking, identity management, and offline-first systems. - Prototype, iterate, and integrate banking APIs, payments systems, and security protocols. - Partner with founder on end-to-end development from prototype to market launch. **Required Skills**: - Proficiency in frontend/backend software development (UI/UX design, API integration). - Open banking API implementation, security protocols, and cryptographic methods (post-quantum preferred). - Embedded systems firmware development or hardware-software integration. - Problem-solving in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with minimal oversight. **Required Education & Certifications**: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
