Job Description

**Job Title:** Design Assistant Intern **Role Summary:** Support the design and production workflow for a petite‑focused workwear brand, assisting with concept development, technical documentation, fit evaluation, and visual assets across seasonal collections. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate design materials on schedule. - Maintain organized archives and libraries. - Communicate professionally with internal teams and external partners. - Exhibit proactive problem‑solving in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Research trends and create mood boards for seasonal collections. - Develop tech packs, CAD drawings, and line sheets for sampling and production. - Conduct garment fittings, record fit notes, and ensure petite‑friendly proportions. - Manage fabric swatch library, trims, and design archives. - Prepare presentation decks, lookbooks, and trade‑show materials. - Assist with photoshoots, showroom setups, and pop‑up events. - Perform competitor and pricing analysis to support merchandising strategy. - Provide basic customer service and graphic design support as needed. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; CLO 3D or similar software a plus. - Strong hand‑sketching and CAD abilities with keen eye for detail and proportion. - Knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and technical terminology. - Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to multitask under tight deadlines. - Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable in a start‑up setting. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Fashion Design program (Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree). - Must be eligible to receive academic credit for the internship.
