Head of Operations
**Role Summary**
Lead and optimise the operations of the Student Recruitment and Admissions department in a public‑sector organisation. Partner with senior leadership to deliver strategic and operational objectives, driving continuous improvement, efficient resource use, and compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**
1. Provide executive leadership for the operations team, including recruitment, training, performance management, and succession planning.
2. Develop and manage annual operating budgets; conduct financial analysis and reporting.
3. Supervise procurement processes, supplier relationships, and cost optimisation.
4. Lead risk and compliance initiatives, ensuring adherence to public‑sector regulations.
5. Oversee quality assurance frameworks to maintain service standards.
6. Plan and execute operational projects, driving timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication.
7. Manage workforce planning, staffing levels, and resource allocation relative to demand.
**Required Skills**
- Proven senior operational leadership in a public‑sector or regulated environment.
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, cost control.
- HR expertise: talent acquisition, performance coaching, and development.
- Project management proficiency (PMP/Prince2/Agile acceptable).
- Risk management and compliance knowledge, including public‑sector standards.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation abilities.
- Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and change‑leadership capability.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or related field.
- Advanced qualification in Operations Management, Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), or Finance (CMA, ACCA) preferred.
