Job title: Apparel Operations & Planning – Senior Manager Role Summary: Strategic leader responsible for end‑to‑end apparel supply chain operations, demand forecasting, and inventory management. Works cross‑functionally with design, development, manufacturing, merchandising, finance, and sales to ensure optimal product availability, margin health, and operational excellence across direct‑to‑consumer, e‑commerce, wholesale, and international distribution channels. Expectations: - Own and execute seasonal and in‑season demand planning, translating financial targets into unit‑level forecasts by style, color, and channel. - Drive continuous improvement of forecasting accuracy and inventory performance to support revenue and margin goals. - Manage purchase order and liability processes, ensuring alignment with forecasted demand, pricing, and delivery windows. - Deliver clear, actionable insights to leadership through dashboards and performance reports. - Champion process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels throughout the supply chain. Key Responsibilities: 1. Lead operations from product development handoff to delivery in collaboration with external designers, developers, and manufacturing partners. 2. Own seasonal and in‑season demand planning, converting financial plans into detailed unit forecasts. 3. Analyze historical data, market trends, and partner input to generate accurate forecasts and align with product lifecycle goals. 4. Develop and maintain seasonal critical‑path timelines with external partners, vendors, and manufacturers. 5. Align forecast and buy strategies across DTC, wholesale, and international channels with merchandising, retail, finance, and sales teams. 6. Write, issue, and manage purchase orders to domestic and international vendors, ensuring forecast, pricing, and delivery alignment. 7. Oversee logistics workflows: warehousing, inventory transfers, outbound fulfillment, and overall inventory health. 8. Monitor inventory metrics, identify risks and opportunities for rebalancing, liquidation, or reinvestment. 9. Analyze dashboards (inventory, delivery, OTB, sales‑to‑stock) to inform decision making. 10. Partner with Finance to align demand planning with revenue, margin targets, and cash flow planning. 11. Implement process improvements across partners and supply chain to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels. 12. Track material liabilities in real‑time by aligning POs and invoices, preventing overpayments and maintaining vendor accountability. Required Skills: - Strong data fluency: advanced proficiency in Excel, familiarity with ERP/planning systems (e.g., NetSuite). - Deep understanding of lead times, production calendars, and seasonal/lifestyle apparel dynamics. - Experience with domestic and international supply partners. - Strategic thinker capable of high‑level planning and hands‑on execution. - Exceptional organizational and time‑management skills; detail orientation in a fast‑paced environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills facilitating cross‑department collaboration. - Ability to identify straightforward issues and propose simple, effective solutions. - Adaptability to rapidly changing processes, customer flow, and priorities.
