Job Description
**Job Title** Account Specialist **Role Summary** Provide customer-facing account management in a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate order entry, shipping coordination, and customer communication. Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, quality, scheduling, shipping) to maintain up-to-date customer files and support forecasting and new part routing. **Expectations** - Timely, accurate entry of customer orders and updates in the ERP system. - Maintain high service levels through proactive communication of delivery changes and status. - Resolve returns, disputes, and credit requests efficiently. - Deliver weekly order reports and identify slow‑moving inventory. **Key Responsibilities** - Review and enter customer demand from portals, EDI, or email PO. - Maintain customer profiles in ERP, including billing, shipping, contracts, and packing slip notes. - Communicate delivery schedules and tracking information to customers. - Organize and follow up on RFQ packages via CRM. - Collaborate on forecasts and upcoming releases. - Process new customer parts: scan prints, record specs, route to advanced quality planning. - Participate in daily/weekly production and RFQ meetings. - Cross‑reference quotes with orders to ensure price, lead time, revisions, and terms match. - Resolve returns/disputes, manage credit requests, and follow up. - Distribute open‑order reports weekly and flag slow inventory. - Perform general office duties (filing, typing, printing). - Support quality and company audits. **Required Skills** - 2+ years of customer service in manufacturing (preferred). - Proficiency with SharePoint, MS Teams, Outlook; ERP (Epicor or similar); CRM (Salesforce or similar). - Intermediate Excel skills. - Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, multitasking, and accuracy. - Excellent written and verbal communication in English. - Ability to work independently and cross‑functionally. - Time and resource management to exceed service expectations. **Required Education & Certifications** - High school diploma (required). - College degree or equivalent work experience preferred. - No specific certifications required.
