Job Description
**Job Title:** Director, Client & Business Development - Corporate & Financial Services **Role Summary** Senior leader driving business development and marketing strategies for Corporate & Financial Services practices, including capital markets, M&A, private equity, and financial services. Focus on client relationship growth, market differentiation, and cross-practice collaboration to deliver strategic commercial objectives. **Expectations** Develop and execute business development strategies, lead team of BD professionals, leverage competitive intelligence for strategic advantage, and integrate AI-driven analytics to enhance client engagement and market positioning. **Key Responsibilities** - Oversee strategic business development planning for assigned practice groups, including competitive analysis, cross-selling opportunities, and KPI tracking. - Manage client relationship activities (proposals, account management), ensuring ROI alignment across client engagement strategies. - Collaborate on RFP responses, thought leadership, and promotional campaigns with the Pursuits team. - Plan and coordinate client education programs (seminars, webinars, networking events). - Identify new business opportunities through research, prospect list generation, and market trend analysis. - Lead competitive intelligence function, aligning insights with CD&M priorities and strategic goals. - Develop marketing strategies in collaboration with the Marketing & Communications team, including internal/external messaging and digital content. - Strengthen lawyer and practice branding through market recognition initiatives and thought leadership. **Required Skills** - Strategic business development and marketing leadership. - Client relationship management and proposal development. - Competitive intelligence analysis and AI-driven market research. - Cross-functional collaboration with legal and CD&M teams. - Project management of multi-platform marketing campaigns. - Proficiency in CRM tools and data analytics software. **Required Education & Certifications** Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA or equivalent certification considered an asset.
