**Job title** Senior Consultant / Principal Consultant – AI & Automation Recruitment **Role Summary** Lead and build a dedicated AI & Automation recruitment desk, cultivating relationships with VC‑ and PE‑backed scale‑ups and early‑stage founders across the UK, EU and US. Own the full sales cycle – prospecting, client engagement, sourcing, and closing of both permanent and contract placements with a focus on technical and GTM roles. **Expactations** - 12+ months senior or principal recruiter experience. - Proven track record in sourcing high‑tech talent, ideally within the AI or automation space. - Commercial mindset with a self‑driven, fast‑growth orientation. - Ability to manage a high‑volume pipeline while working independently and owning desk performance. **Key Responsibilities** - Establish and develop a new desk focused on AI & Automation placements. - Prospect and secure client accounts with VCs, accelerators, and founders in the target markets. - Source, screen and present top technical and GTM candidates for full‑time and contract roles. - Negotiate placement fees, finalize contracts and ensure accurate invoicing. - Maintain detailed CRM records, forecast placements and meet sales targets. - Collaborate with a remote resourcing team to supply candidates while focusing on client relationship management. **Required Skills** - Strong technical recruiting skills with the ability to understand AI/automation talent needs. - Business development, pipeline management, and objection handling. - Excellent written and verbal communication, including cross‑border client interaction. - Demonstrated ability to build and execute a sales strategy in a high‑growth environment. - Self‑motivation, resilience, and accountability for performance metrics. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (business, marketing, engineering, or related field). - Professional recruitment certifications preferred (e.g., CIPD Level 5, HRCI SPHR, or equivalent).
