Job title: Senior Business Analyst
Role Summary:
Lead business analysis for a government/financial services program, translating stakeholder needs into detailed user stories, process flows, and functional specifications, and maintaining enterprise knowledge assets through wiki documentation.
Expectations:
- Deliver high‑quality requirements and documentation that meet Agile “Ready” criteria.
- Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration among business, technical, and vendor teams.
- Support testing, root‑cause analysis, and remediation efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of documentation and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Gather, clarify, and document requirements with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams.
2. Translate business needs into user stories, process flows, functional specs, and design docs.
3. Lead backlog refinement sessions; ensure stories meet acceptance criteria.
4. Build and maintain structured wiki content (Markdown, Wiki Markup, restructuredText).
5. Create wiki templates, navigation, and cross‑references to support knowledge continuity.
6. Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, stand‑ups, reviews, retrospectives).
7. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and system tests; document findings.
8. Conduct root‑cause analysis and support remediation actions.
9. Assist with SOW development, TCO analysis, SEM documentation, and System Security Plans.
10. Review UI/UX artifacts, providing usability and design input.
11. Ensure documentation quality, version control, and compliance with standards.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years as a senior business analyst.
- Strong Agile SDLC knowledge (Scrum/Kanban).
- Proficiency in process modeling, system testing, and Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
- Advanced skills in markup languages (Markdown, Wiki Markup, restructuredText).
- Experience building structured wiki systems, templates, and navigation.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Ability to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Knowledge of change management, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Public Administration, or a related field.
