Job Specifications
Duration: 1 year contract with likely extensions
Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite) in Lansing, MI
Pay Rate Range: $50 - $57/HR
Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, technical teams, and vendors to gather, clarify, and document requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed user stories, process flows, functional specifications, and design documentation.
Lead backlog refinement sessions to ensure user stories meet “Ready” criteria with clear acceptance criteria.
Create, organize, and maintain wiki content using markup languages such as Markdown, Wiki Markup, or restructured Text.
Develop intuitive wiki structures, templates, and navigation to support knowledge continuity and user accessibility.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, stand ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
Support system testing by developing test plans, test cases, and executing tests to validate functionality.
Conduct root cause analysis, document findings, and support remediation efforts.
Assist with SOW development, TCO analysis, SEM documentation, and System Security Plans as needed.
Review UI/UX artifacts and provide input based on usability and design principles.
Ensure documentation quality, version control, and adherence to standards.
Support continuous improvement by identifying documentation gaps and recommending enhancements.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Public Administration, or related field.
7+ years of experience as a senior business analyst.
Experience working in government, retirement systems, or financial services environments.
Strong knowledge of Agile SDLC, process modeling, and system testing methodologies.
Experience writing user stories and managing requirements in Azure DevOps.
Ability to facilitate requirement sessions and translate business needs into detailed documentation.
Proficiency with markup languages (Markdown, Wiki Markup, restructured Text).
Experience creating structured wiki content, templates, and cross referenced documentation.
Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge business and technical teams.
Ability to analyze requirements, identify gaps, and ensure technical feasibility.
Experience developing test plans, test scripts, and executing system testing.
Ability to support change management, documentation standards, and compliance requirements.
