**Job Title**: Senior Estimator / Head of Building Science
**Role Summary**: Lead technical estimation and building science functions for high‑performance cladding and solar façade projects, ensuring accurate, compliant, and value‑driven bids. Provide guidance to sales, engineering, and production teams; mentor estimation staff; drive process improvements and maintain adherence to codes and standards.
**Expectations**:
- Deliver precise, competitive bids for construction and envelope projects.
- Guide sales meetings with technical expertise and clear documentation.
- Lead and develop the estimation team, ensuring high accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain current knowledge of building codes, sustainability standards, and industry trends.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Project Bidding & Estimation** – Review plans and specs, prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, and subcontractors, conduct risk and market analysis, and submit professional bid packages.
2. **Technical Sales Support** – Provide technical guidance on building envelope systems, support client meetings with presentations, and address product performance queries.
3. **Estimation Leadership** – Coach the estimation team, manage takeoffs using Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and Excel, coordinate with engineering and production for alignment.
4. **Building Science Expertise** – Evaluate envelope performance and sustainability, ensure compliance with ASHRAE, LEED, and other relevant standards, recommend design and integration solutions.
5. **Process Improvement & Collaboration** – Streamline workflows across estimation, engineering, and sales; implement KPI‑driven improvements and best practices.
**Required Skills**:
- Advanced proficiency in CAD and estimation tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Excel).
- Strong understanding of building codes, façade, and solar integration standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience managing or coaching technical teams.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in cladding, building envelope systems, or façade construction, with proven construction estimation and cost modeling expertise.
