Job Description: Job Title: Business Affairs Manager Role Summary: Manage all talent agreements and media trafficking for broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring compliance, accurate billing, and on‑time delivery of commercial spots. Acts as the liaison between talent, production, media agencies, and internal stakeholders. Expactations: - Fast learning of company processes and tools. - Proactive problem solving and meticulous attention to detail. - Clear, concise communication with agents, vendors, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities: - Draft and negotiate non‑union talent agreements, renewal fees, and rate estimates. - Process payments, WSIB/WorkSafe BC insurance, and talent‑related invoices. - Track talent, music, and image usage rights. - Submit scripts, product specifications, and approvals via Telecaster, ASC, and Extreme Reach. - Create Commercial IDs and upload creative to distribution vendors. - Coordinate with media agencies to guarantee spot delivery timelines. - Complete digital trafficking: fill trafficking sheets, link creative assets, and monitor performance. - Set up new vendors, pay invoices, and collaborate with production and accounting on talent responsibilities. Required Skills: - Familiarity with G‑Suite (Gmail, G‑Sheets, etc.). - Experience in broadcast or digital trafficking. - Knowledge of talent/agent negotiations and contract drafting. - Strong organizational skills and problem‑solving ability. - Excellent verbal and written communication. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field preferred. - Experience or certification in media trafficking systems (e.g., Netsuite, Extreme Reach, Yangaroo) is an advantage but not mandatory.
