Job Title: Director of Sales and Business Development Role Summary: Own the complete commercial cycle from initial contact through launch, making strategic decisions that secure awards and drive revenue growth for the organization. Lead high‑value customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and oversee post‑sale ramp‑up to ensure successful program delivery. Expectations: Demonstrated success in closing high‑impact deals, managing the RFQ‑to‑award process, and building a robust sales pipeline. Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight, leveraging a strong professional network and proven track record of delivering measurable business results. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and execute sales strategy for new and existing customers, including market segmentation and target account prioritization. - Initiate first contact, present solutions, and tailor proposals to meet client needs. - Negotiate pricing, terms, and contractual agreements to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. - Close deals and secure awards, ensuring accurate forecasting and pipeline management. - Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, production, quality) to align launch activities with customer expectations. - Manage post‑sale relationship, monitor ramp‑up, and address any issues to ensure successful implementation. - Provide regular sales performance reports, market insights, and growth opportunities to senior leadership.
