**Job title**: Generative AI Engineer
**Role Summary**:
Design, build, and ship AI‑powered developer tools that embed large language models, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration into development workflows. Increase engineering productivity by providing automated test generation, code documentation, onboarding, and code review assistance within IDEs, CI/CD pipelines, and internal knowledge bases.
**Expectations**:
- Deliver production‑ready generative‑AI tooling that is adopted by engineering teams.
- Own the end‑to‑end lifecycle: design, implementation, LLM tuning, integration, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with platform, DevOps, and developer experience squads to embed AI into the infrastructure.
- Provide measurable impact through telemetry, user feedback, and performance metrics.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Architect and implement AI‑driven features for code generation, documentation, testing, and review.
- Develop LLM workflows and prompt engineering for models such as Claude, GPT‑4, LLaMA, and Mistral.
- Integrate APIs (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Anthropic, OpenAI) into IDEs (VSCode, JetBrains) and CI/CD systems.
- Build retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases like Pinecone, FAISS, or Chroma to ground outputs in internal code/documents.
- Design multi‑agent orchestration with LangChain, LangGraph, or AutoGen.
- Conduct telemetry collection, analytics, and iterate on feature performance and user experience.
- Deploy and scale solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
**Required Skills**:
- 10+ years of software engineering or equivalent experience in large‑scale systems.
- 2–4 years of production use of LLMs, generative AI, or agent‑based frameworks.
- Proven track record building developer tools or productivity platforms.
- High proficiency in Python (production tooling, packaging, testing).
- Experience with Claude (or similar) APIs, structured output handling, and prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph/AutoGen and multi‑agent orchestration.
- Expertise in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins).
- Cloud deployment skills (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Working knowledge of embedding models and vector databases.
**Preferred Qualifications** (not mandatory):
- Experience developing or contributing to IDE‑integrated AI copilots or assistants.
- Hands‑on fine‑tuning of LLaMA or Mistral models.
- Background in regulated sectors such as fintech, tax, or healthcare.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
