Job Description
Job title: Business Analyst Role Summary: Provides tactical and strategic support to the Operations Team by managing the intake and triage of Jira‑based requests, validating business needs, and ensuring efficient resolution or escalation. Acts as the bridge between departmental priorities and cross‑functional Centers of Excellence, driving process documentation, improvement, and adoption of new tools and initiatives. Expectations: - Handle daily operational requests with rapid resolution. - Maintain a clean and prioritised Jira backlog. - Translate business requirements into clear user stories and process maps. - Escalate complex or cross‑functional issues to the CAB or relevant CoE. - Represent the department in governance meetings and enforce documentation standards. - Champion adoption of new solutions, tracking uptake and collecting stakeholder feedback. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and manage the Jira backlog, ensuring timely triage and resolution. - Clarify requirements, validate business cases, and confirm expected outcomes. - Resolve BAU issues independently or pass to escalation channels when needed. - Document current processes, pain points, and opportunities for optimisation. - Translate departmental needs into functional requirements, user stories, or process maps. - Liaise between the department and Centers of Excellence (Systems, Analytics, Enablement). - Represent department priorities in CAB and Operations Council meetings. - Enforce “Rules of Engagement” for request handling and documentation standards. - Support training, onboarding, and rollout of new tools, processes, or systems. - Monitor adoption rates, gather feedback, and recommend improvements. Required Skills: - Minimum 3 years of experience in business analysis, operations, or process improvement. - Strong understanding of sales organization workflows and operational processes. - Proficiency with Jira or similar ticketing/project‑management tools. - Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Proven skill in gathering, documenting, and clarifying requirements. - Effective communication with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Ability to challenge unclear or low‑value requests to focus on high‑impact work. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Business Management, or related field. - Certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred but not mandatory.
