Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Associate Cloud Architect with at least four years of experience supporting Microsoft 365 cloud solutions, including Office 365, mailbox and identity migrations, Modern Workplace technologies, and networking and infrastructure. As a member of our Professional Services team, this role contributes to the design and implementation of cloud-based solutions tailored to client requirements.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior architects and professional services teams to evaluate existing IT environments and recommend architectural improvements that support cloud migration, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.
Under the guidance of senior architects, design and implement cloud migration solutions to transition client workloads from on-premises environments to Microsoft cloud platforms. Focus areas include Microsoft 365 tenant modernization, Entra ID–based mailbox and identity migrations, and Modern Workplace networking and infrastructure services.
Assist in the design and deployment of Microsoft cloud-based infrastructure, networking, and security solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
Work with senior architects to plan, design, and deploy scalable and highly available cloud-based services, leveraging Microsoft cloud technologies to improve performance, reliability, and cost management.
Evaluate Microsoft 365 enterprise licensing and product options to support solution design and client recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure cloud solutions align with client business objectives and project timelines.
Contribute to proactive monitoring, performance optimization, and issue resolution across cloud infrastructure and services to support secure and reliable operations.
Stay current on emerging trends and advancements in cloud computing and Microsoft cloud solutions, sharing relevant insights and best practices with the team.
Required Skills & Qualifications (must-haves):
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
At least two years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft 365 services, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
Exposure to designing, deploying, or supporting basic cloud infrastructure and networking solutions such as virtual networks, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and related technologies.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions, including Microsoft 365 Admin Center, Exchange, Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Teams, Defender, and other Microsoft cloud services.
Basic understanding of security, compliance, and data protection requirements for cloud-based solutions.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a proactive manner.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications (nice-to-haves):
Microsoft certifications such as MS-900 (Microsoft 365 Fundamentals), AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals), or MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) are a plus.
Willingness to participate in technical discussions and learn from peers, while contributing ideas and feedback on best practices and technical solutions.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and follow tasks through to completion.
Proactive interest in continuous learning and professional development, including pursuing relevant certifications and staying up to date with Microsoft cloud technologies.
Working Environment & Compensation Details:
Environment: Remote, United States
Working Hours: 6:00 am to 3:00 pm PT (*Occasional requirements for nights and weekends with advanced notice)
Estimated Salary Range: $85K - $115K (*DOE)
