Job Description
**Job Title** Purchasing Agent **Role Summary** Supports procurement of goods and services in a regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost‑effective purchasing, inventory replenishment, and audit‑ready documentation. **Expactations** - Deliver reliable supply chain support that meets inventory and production schedules. - Produce measurable cost‑saving outcomes and procurement efficiencies. - Maintain complete, compliant procurement records for regulatory audit readiness. - Foster supplier relationships that support continuous improvement and quality. **Key Responsibilities** - Review MRP, ACP, and MIN/MAX reports to determine replenishment needs. - Create, manage, and reconcile purchase orders to maintain optimal inventory levels. - Source materials, request quotations, evaluate pricing, and negotiate terms. - Obtain supplier confirmations, follow up on open orders, and resolve delivery discrepancies. - Maintain accurate pricing, freight, quantity data, and supplier records in the ERP system. - Generate cost‑savings and procurement efficiency reports. - Process requisitions, maintain supporting documentation, and ensure audit readiness. - Generate procurement‑related reports as required. **Required Skills** - Strong verbal and written communication in English. - Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; capable of advanced spreadsheet analysis. - Excellent organizational and time‑management skills with meticulous attention to detail. - Sound judgment and decision‑making; able to avoid duplication and errors. - Ability to work collaboratively as well as independently. - Customer‑focused attitude with motivation and discipline. **Required Education & Certifications** - Post‑secondary education in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field, *or* equivalent experience. - Minimum 2 years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing or production environment. - Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP) and global purchasing practices is a strong asset. - Knowledge of PCB manufacturing is an asset.
