**Job Title:** Backend Engineer (Python/Django) **Role Summary:** Develop and maintain scalable backend services for an AI receptionist platform, creating robust APIs, managing PostgreSQL databases, and integrating third‑party communication and CRM services. **Expactations:** - Deliver production‑ready features in a fast‑moving startup environment. - Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems. - Collaborate closely with founders and cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and maintain Django REST APIs and webhook endpoints. - Integrate external services such as Twilio, Retell AI, and various CRMs or ordering systems. - Manage, monitor, and optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability. - Deploy and configure applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Lightsail, etc.). - Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews. - Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes promptly. **Required Skills:** - Strong proficiency in Python and Django framework. - Experience building RESTful APIs and webhook integrations. - Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, query optimization). - Familiarity with cloud deployment and infrastructure (AWS, Lightsail, Docker preferred). - Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines. - Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer) are optional but advantageous.
