Backend Developer (Python/Django)

Remote / Hybrid - Long Island, NY preferred

We're building Simpleshift AI, an AI receptionist platform that answers calls, books appointments, and integrates with business systems.

Role:

We're looking for a Python/Django backend developer to build APIs, manage databases, and integrate with services like Twilio and Retell AI. You'll be key to making our platform fast, reliable, and scalable.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain Django APIs and webhook endpoints
Integrate with third-party services (Twilio, CRMs, ordering systems)
Manage PostgreSQL databases and optimize performance
Collaborate with founders to ship production-ready features

Qualifications:

Strong Python/Django experience
Knowledge of REST APIs, webhooks, and PostgreSQL
Familiar with cloud deployment (AWS, Lightsail, etc.)
Bonus: Twilio/voice system experience
